Hands down, one of my most favourite quotes ever.
It was just so heartbreaking to hear.
Not only did it bring me to tears but it's just so true
There are only two cases where I would confess
- I was definitely sure he liked me back
- I wouldn't have to ever see him again
I mean first one is obvious and makes sense.
The reason why I would confess if I knew I wouldn't have to see the guy again is because pouring your heart out and then being turned down isn't something you want to be reminded of.
And trust me when I say that every time you even hear that person's name you'll be reminded
The thing is, not only is it embarrassing but it hurts so much.
It's like being reminded that, once again somebody does not like you.
Somebody does not want to be with you
Somebody thinks that you're not worth it
Somebody thinks you're just another person, nothing special
and the possibilities go on
I guess it makes me also remember that once again, I have failed to be deserving of someone.
That I'm just not worth it.
And this is why you confess to someone you don't have to ever see again
So at least if there is rejection, you don't get reminded as much
It doesn't guarantee that you won't get hurt
But it just makes the pain less severe
It's a quote that can be understood by any age, gender, race and just about anybody who has a heart
Because the painful reality of rejection is something that everyone, at least once in their life, will experience
